Madam Speaker, I beseech the Leader
of the Liberal Party to ask that question of the agencies that are responsible
for it, which are the Australian Border Force and the Australian Federal
Police. It has nothing to do with my government. These are fundamentally
federal-related issues. Obviously, we will play our role when it is requested by the AFP or the ABF to ensure we keep the Western
Australian community safe. It will be no thanks to the Liberals and
Nationals, who opposed these laws in the federal Parliament and who now come
into this place, on our most basic community safety measures, and oppose our
gun law reforms.
