471. Hon Phil Twiss to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Health:
In further reference
to the preparations for the arrival of nuclear-powered submarines in WA as part
of the AUKUS agreement, I ask the following.
(1) Can the government provide details on which
hospitals and emergency service agencies will be upgraded to manage potential
incidents involving radioactive materials?
(2) Can the government specify the source of
funding arrangements for such upgrades?

been provided by the Minister for Health.
(1)–(2) WA hospitals and health services
already have detailed plans, procedures, equipment and trained staff in place
to manage radiation incidents.
