Will the Minister provide the following details for all Government owned assets sold since January 1997 which had a sale value of $500,000 or more -
(a) name and nature of the asset;
(b) date sold;
(c) nature of sale and name of buyer;
(d) proceeds received from the asset;
(e) associated revenue from the sale, such as stamp duty;
(f) the application of the funds received; and
(g) any associated costs incurred in the sale process?

The Minister Replied:
DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT
(a) The Department of Resources Development has not sold any assets since January 1997 which had a sale value of $500,000 or more.
(b-g) Not applicable.
OFFICE OF ENERGY
(a) Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
(b) 25 March 1998.
(c) Trade Sale to Epic Energy.
(d) $2.407 billion.
(e) Associated revenue included in (d) - Stamp Duty $104 million.
(f) Application of funds received:
- total State debt was reduced by $1.776 billion (including AlintaGas transmission pipeline debt of $1.024 billion);
- $140 million was allocated to commence full concurrent funding of the West State Super scheme;
- expansion of DBNGP pipeline corridor - $40 million;
- $244 million was provided to the State Development Fund for infrastructure developments and capital projects including:
- Computers in schools - $100 million;
- Convention and Exhibition Centre - $100 million;
- Regional infrastructure projects - $20 million;
- Communications pipeline - $10 million;
- Community sporting and recreation facilities - $10 million;
- Kings park - $4 million; and
- AlintaGas provisions $86 million.
