I refer to question on notice No. 1103, of 10 April 2018, regarding the review
of the Young Offenders Act 1994 , and
to the Minister’s response that the review is on hold pending the outcome of
machinery of government changes that may impact on the future of the Act, and I
ask: (a) which proposed machinery of government changes are still outstanding; (b) when is it anticipated these changes will be undertaken; and (c) does the Minister acknowledge the urgent need to review this important legislation
given it has not been reviewed since its initial statutory review in 1998?
