I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. On behalf of the Minister for Environment I provide
the following answer.
(1) No funding
was specifically allocated for advertising and promotion of the proposed marine
parks in the 2023–24 financial year. Costs incurred to promote the
public submission period have been funded through the department's
existing operational budget.
(2) Approximately
$55 401 has been spent to date. This cost includes newspaper, radio and social
advertising, printing of maps, fact sheets and ''Have your say''
brochures.
