LONDON-STYLE CABS TRIAL
751. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer the Minister for Transport to the current trial of
the TX4 London-style taxicabs.
(1) Has the small-scale pilot for the carriage of passengers
who use wheelchairs commenced?
(2) If yes to
(1), when did it commence and how many drivers and passengers who use
wheelchairs are involved?
(3) If no to (1), when will the pilot commence?
(4) Who will be involved?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) No.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) It will be upon appointment of an occupational therapist
through a tender process.
(4) It is
envisaged that approximately five vehicles/drivers and five to 10 passengers
will participate in the trial.
