I thank Hon Ken Baston for providing some notice of the question. (1) To date the Water Corporation has not received a formal application for the upgrade of the water supply. An informal approach regarding expansion of the water supply has been made by the port of Broome, and two other parties have sought advice regarding water for fire services. (2)-(3) The Water Corporation has advised that the current infrastructure meets all pressure and flow requirements as stipulated in the Water Corporation’s operating licence. Levels of service - pressure and flow - above that stipulated in the Water Corporation’s operating licence are provided as required based on the developer’s request, and these are funded by the developer. (4) The Water Corporation is currently installing a booster pump station to increase pressure in the Port Drive main.
