(1) Yes.
(2) $500 000 has been allocated from the Safer Roads Program for 2009/10 Financial Year on top of routine maintenance grading on a 3 week cycle (this has been increased to every 2 weeks until the end of December 2009). $700 000 has been allocated to geometric improvements at a fatality site south of Nullagine.
