CORRUPTION AND CRIME COMMISSION — NORTH
METROPOLITAN HEALTH SERVICE — MISCONDUCT
796. Mr S.K. L'ESTRANGE to the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. At no stage in the question
was any reference made to the Public Sector Commissioner, so I bring the
minister back to the appointment of the inquirer for the review being conducted
into the North Metropolitan Health Service. Danny Cloghan has been appointed to
conduct that review into the mess that the CCC uncovered. Does the minister not
think that the close relationship that Danny Cloghan has with the board chair,
Jim McGinty, and the minister's close relationship, as a former
employee of Jim McGinty, leaves the public of Western Australia to feel cynical
that this is in fact not an independent review or an independent inquiry into
the North Metropolitan Health Service?
The SPEAKER : It is a very long supplementary question,
member.

Once again, apart from demonstrating a staggering
misunderstanding of the standing orders and what is a supplementary question,
can I just clarify for the member —
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members, supplementary questions are
short and sharp, so that was a little long. Minister, you will answer the
question.
Mr R.H. COOK : The investigation of the issues that
were highlighted in the CCC report is being undertaken by the Public Sector
Commission.
