I refer to the proposed Coalmine in Osmington, Margaret River and the requirement for rezoning under the Greater Bunbury Region Scheme of the site of the proposed coal washing plant at Capel, and ask -
(1) Is the WA Planning Commission likely to support a rezoning of this site for this purpose?
(2) What is the process for rezoning this site?
(3) What is the expected time frame for the rezoning process to be completed?

(1) The WA Planning Commission has not received any formal application to rezone the land. The question is considered premature.
(2) If the proposal is to rezone the subject land from 'Rural' to 'Industry', then amendments to the Greater Bunbury Region Scheme and Local Planning Scheme will be required.
(3) See (1) above
