On behalf of the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health, I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following has been
provided to me by the Minister for Health.
(1)–(3) The minister has not been advised of any
instances when sexual assault forensic evidence kits submitted to PathWest for
analysis have expired before testing could be undertaken. PathWest has advised
there is currently no backlog in the processing of these kits once received for
analysis.
