COMMISSIONER
OF CORRECTIVE SERVICES — RESIGNATION
100. Mr P. PAPALIA to the Minister for Corrective Services:
I have a
supplementary question. I will repeat parts of the question —
(1) What efforts did the minister or his
office make during that period to schedule a meeting with Mr Johnson for that
period?
(2) Can the minister confirm—as he
said many times yesterday and as is recorded in Hansard —that he talked to the Premier and he raised his
issues with the Premier? Can the minister confirm that?

(1)–(2) It is very simple. I had a conversation—in
fact, I can go back to Hansard of
Tuesday, 7 May, in answer to a question from the Leader of the Opposition.
Maybe the member for Warnbro was not listening, so I will read it for him. I
stated —
We have a number of different
priorities that we want to take the Department of Corrective Services towards.
I raised those issues with the Premier and with the Public Sector Commissioner.
