ALBANY — ANZAC CENTENARY FUNDING
428. Mr P.B. WATSON to the Premier:
I ask a supplementary question. When will groups in Albany
receive these funds to begin construction and commemoration planning?

AnswerView source ↗

I appreciate that as a local member of Parliament this is an
important issue in Albany. Very, very shortly I will detail what the government
will be providing. It will be across the board. An important part of that—I
am probably repeating myself now—is the organisation and management of
the event. Two months ago I met with former Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston.
The request from the national body was for the state to undertake the
coordination role of that event, which we will be doing.
