I refer to Tabled Paper 3625 which the Minister for the Environment provided to the House on 20 February 2020 and which the Government says is explanatory material that “has been produced to update the official Explanatory Memorandum tabled when the Bill was introduced in each House of Parliament” and which it further states “includes updated information to reflect the amendments made to the Bill and passed by the Parliament”, and I ask:
(a) why have only some amendments been referenced and not others;
(b) is it the Government’s intention to mislead health practitioners who have obligations under the Act with inaccurate and incomplete information;
(c) who prepared the document;
(d) did anyone in the office of the Minister for Health inform the Minister for the Environment that the document was inaccurate, incomplete and misleading before he tabled the document;
(e) if no to (d), will the Minister for Health now facilitate the tabling of an accurate document that genuinely reflects the amendments made to the Bill by the Parliament; and
(f) will the Minister table any emails, briefing notes and other documents that were created about the drafting and tabling of the explanatory material contained in tabled paper No. 3625?
