I refer to the DPIRD Diagnostics and Laboratory Services site located at 3 Baron-Hay Court, South Perth, and I ask: (a) How many FTE were on site before the site was restricted; (b) Where are the staff that would normally be based at this site now based? Please provide location(s); (c) Please detail the timeline to make the South Perth site safe and operate as normal; and (d) Does the State Government plan to demolish this site? If yes, when?

(a) DPIRD Diagnostics and Laboratory Services (DDLS) had 76 FTE based at South Perth in May 2024.
(b) DDLS staff who were based at South Perth are currently working at a number of sites including;
· South Perth
· Claremont Showgrounds
· DPIRD offices at 1 Nash Street and 140 William Street in Perth
· Working from home
(c) The South Perth site is ageing and no longer fit for purpose.
A limited number of buildings at the site have been assessed as safe and are in operation to enable business continuity. Access to these buildings is strictly controlled and decisions regarding the site are being made based on advice from WorkSafe, asbestos specialists and other infrastructure consultants.
(d) Once the site is vacated by DPIRD it will be handed over to DevelopmentWA.
