PROJECT
661. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Lloyd Street Bridge
project, which was stalled in March 2022.
(1) What activities has Main Roads
WA completed in the last two years?
(2) Has a decision been made about
the future of the project; and, if so, what is that decision?
(3) If no to (2), when does the
minister intend to make a decision?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I answer on behalf of the Minister for Emergency Services,
who is currently absent from the chamber. The Minister for Transport advises
the following.
(1)–(3) A feasibility study was undertaken to assess the
viability of an alternative alignment for the project f ollowing a section 10 application under the Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act 1984 . The findings
of the feasibility study are under consideration in conjunction with the City
of Swan, noting the Lloyd Street Bridge is a local government initiative.
