937. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the
proposed airport rail line.
(1) Is the
government still committed to trains on the line running at least every 10 minutes
at peak times?
(2) Can the
minister confirm that the Public Transport Authority advised Treasury that this
would require 18 railcars?
(3) Has the
Public Transport Authority changed its advice on the number of railcars
required to provide this level of service?
(4) If yes to
(3), what is its new advice on the number of railcars required to provide this
level of frequency?

and the completion of the Forrestfield–airport link line, which was
supported by an overwhelming majority of constituents at the recent state
election.
