I am glad the member
asked a supplementary question because I forgot to mention our $1.8 billion
investment in the new women's and babies' hospital. It is a very exciting
project and one that is going to revolutionise health care for women in this
state. We are delivering record amounts of investment into our health system—in
hospital infrastructure, but also in services delivered
in the community where people want to access them. We are looking at a range of
ways to ensure that Western Australians get access to the care that they need. Although
hospitals are important, they are not the only thing. That is why our
government will continue to look at everything that we can do to ensure that
Western Australians get access to the care they need no matter where they live
in the state.
