I refer to Budget Paper No. 2, Volume 1 at page 282 "New Works", line item "air cooling program (stage 2)", and ask: (a) which schools in the South West region (electoral region) will receive a portion of this funding; (b) for each of the schools identified in (a), how much funding will be allocated and will this meet all of the school’s air cooling needs; and (c) if this information is not currently available, when will it be available?

Schools in the South West region have been programmed to be air-cooled in 2013-14 (Stage 2a) and 2014-15 (Stage 2b). Audits have been undertaken at all schools. Schools allocated to Stage 2b of the Air-cooling program have not yet had projects tendered, therefore, costs associated with the majority of schools are not known. Where schools have been included in Stage 2a of the Air-cooling program, estimated costs are shown.
The Air-cooling program provides air-cooling to areas of schools previously not air-cooled. It is not a replacement program.
(c) Costs for the schools in Stage 2b will be known before 30 June 2014.
Stage 2b is to be undertaken in the 2014-15 financial year.
