secretary representing the Attorney General:
I refer to the
Department of Justice report entitled Improving
experiences for victim-survivors: Review of criminal justice responses to
sexual offending in Western Australia tabled in December 2025.
(1) Has the
Attorney General read this report, including the 22 recommendations?
(2) Noting that six months have now
lapsed since this report was published, when can WA victim-survivors of sexual
violence expect the Attorney General to respond to the recommendations made in
the report?

(1) Yes, the Attorney General has
considered the report tabled in December 2025, including its recommendations.
This work is an ongoing area of focus under the state's Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Strategy
2025–2035 and its action plans.
(2) The government is already delivering
on reforms, including evidence law changes and increased investment in
specialist sexual violence services to better support victim-survivors.
