I refer to the Public Sector Commission's ''State of the sector 2012''
report and page 25, which states —
The public sector FTE ceiling for 2011–12
was 108 363. The average paid FTE for entities required to comply with the FTE
ceiling for June 2012 was 107 199.
(1) What was
the 2012–13 public sector full-time equivalent positions ceiling?
(2) What was
the ''average paid FTE'' for entities required to comply with the
FTE ceiling for June 2013?

(1) The full-time
equivalent positions ceiling, which until June 2013 was set and administered by
the Department of Treasury, was set at 109 696 at the commencement of the 2012–13
financial year.
(2) From 10 June
2013, the Department of Treasury no longer required public sector entities to
comply with the FTE ceiling. From that point in time the Public Sector
Commission ceased recruiting against the FTE ceiling.
