I refer to the patient transport vehicles provided to Mandurah and Dawesville residents for trips to Perth to access specialist treatment services, and ask:
(a) how many buses or transport vehicles operated by the Western Australian Health Department currently transport patients from Mandurah to Perth hospitals for specialist treatments;
(b) what is the capacity of these bus and transport vehicles;
(c) what is the frequency of these services; and
(d) what was the total number of patients who accessed the patient transport vehicles from Mandurah to Perth hospitals in the years 2009–10 and 2010–11?

(a) 1 x Minibus operated by the Western Australian Department of Health (DOH).
5 x Volunteer cars - owned by volunteer drivers but scheduled by DOH.
(b) Minibus - seating for 16 including driver.
(c)  Minibus - travels daily Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays.
Cars - dependant on bookings.
(d) Total Number of Occasions of use:
2009-2010 - Minibus = 2215
Cars = 72
2010-2011 - Minibus = 2094
Cars = 96
Note: Total number of occasions of use has been reported as patients access the service on multiple occasions. Records are not kept based on total number of patients.
