The Western Australia Police Service advise:
(1) Since 1998 DMR Consulting has been paid $62,156,501.
(2) $39,983,152
(3) The key contract is the Partnership Agreement between the Western Australia Police Service and DMR Consulting which was signed 3rd December 1998.
(4) The Police Service advise DMR Consulting provides contemporary commercial experience, IT knowledge, program management, project management, delivery and integration services and selected software to support the Western Australia Police Service in its achievement of the DCAT Program. This also includes Change Management Services, Strategies and architecture for IT, benefits realisation and procurement of specified products.
(5) At the instigation of the Gallop Government, the DCAT Program has been independently reviewed. In addition, each project within the DCAT Program has it’s own governance structure involving a Project Sponsor, and Business System Owners group, along with other reference groups as required. A number of DCAT projects have been independently audited or reviewed by a variety of bodies such as the OAG and Standards Australia.
(6) The Police Service advise the results DMR Consulting has delivered in partnership with the Western Australia Police Service include:
· Management and delivery of over 30 key projects. These projects cover both the implementation of new systems (both major and minor) that will deliver future efficiency and effectiveness benefits, as well as the delivery of key technology infrastructure.
· Program management for the complex business change program supporting DCAT.
· Skills transfer to Police personnel in a variety of areas such as project management, benefits management, change management and program governance.
· Risk avoidance / contract management.
· Procurement planning and support for a number of the key procurements required for the program.
· Significant benefits from early systems are being delivered and substantial further benefits will accrue from the balance of the program.
