(1) Leave without pay is an important part of work / life balance. See attached
[tabled paper ________].
(2) Current data systems do not enable the Department of Health to provide this data. Leave without pay for nursing staff across these sites represents the following:
- 93% is for periods of 1-6 days,
- 4% for periods of 7-31 days,
- 2% for 1-6 months, 1% for 6-12 months and
- Less than 1% for 1 year or longer.
NOTE: Data are headcount for all nursing staff (permanent, non-permanent/contract and casual). The count of instances of leave without pay within a given month is determined by the commencement date of the leave period.
Data is not available for nurses at the Joondalup Health Campus as they are not public health employees; headcount measure is total monthly headcount; total excludes agency nurses and dental nurses.
