I refer to the item in METRONET feature box in 2024-25 Budget Paper 3, page 163, "Land Acquisition and Enabling Works", with costs identified as a four-year total, which has also appeared in the 2023-24, 2022-23, 2021-22, 2020-21 and earlier budgets, and I ask: (a) for each budget in which this appears, what is the total estimated cost of all expenditure captured under METRONET Land Acquisition and Enabling Works at the time of the release of each budget; and (b) for each budget in which this appears, please identify where this money is spent, how much, and by which agency?

(a)-(b) The Land Acquisition and Enabling Works item included land acquisition for the Morley-Ellenbrook Line and the Byford Rail Extension; enabling works like the Thomas Road over Rail Bridge; service relocation and upgrades; and precinct infrastructure.
