I ask a supplementary question.  Did the farmers involved seek the minister’s personal intervention with regard to the revocation of these orders, and did the minister personally intervene? Mr HOUSE

Representatives of the Pastoralists and Graziers Association came to me, as I said, and asked me to review the program.  They were not satisfied that it was working properly. Mr Ripper interjected. Mr HOUSE:  I have not spoken to the two people to whom the member refers.  In fact, I did not speak to them about this issue before the review or after the review.  I have to tell the member that I probably would not recognise them if I ran into them.  That is not to say I have not met them; I may well have met them, but I have not spoken to them on this issue, either before or since the review. Mr Kobelke:  What about correspondence? Mr HOUSE:  Neither have I had any correspondence from them.  I have not had a letter from them that I can recall, but the member has raised a good issue, and I will get my staff to check the files.  I do not remember any letter or phone call from those two people.
