(1) Yes.
(2) The planning for service delivery at the Midland Public Hospital is currently moving to the detailed consultation phase with clinical staff and as part of that process, there will be decisions over how the Hospital will develop clinical protocols and linkages with other health care providers.
(3) The Design and Construct Agreement with St John of God allows for land on the eastern boundary of the site to be made available for a facility for provision of these services. Further review is occurring to determine the suitability of the land for the proposed service.
(4) The land is currently owned by the Department of Health (DOH). Health paid $11.25m for the whole 8.044 hectare Midland Health Campus site, so the land is nominally valued at approximately $141 per square metre.
(5) The facility for these services has not yet been designed; hence the cost of developing a facility is not as yet known.
(6) It has not yet been determined if the services will be provided by the DOH or a private operator.
(7) The recurrent cost of providing these services has been estimated at $350,000 per annum.
