I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. On behalf of the Minister for Transport I provide the following response — (1) The business case has been completed and is with the state and commonwealth governments for assessment and consideration. (2) The scope of upgrade varies widely from minor road widening through to major reconstruction works. The unit costs used are based on current costs incurred by Main Roads and the various local governments in delivering similar works.
