SCHOOL BUS CONTRACTS, EXTENSION OF CONTRACT TERMS
On 14 March, a question was asked of the minister - the reason for reference to the day will become clear when I ask my question. I refer to a statement by the Minister Assisting the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure in the other House yesterday that relates to the date I just mentioned. The minister’s statement related to school bus contracts. She said that the task force has supported an industry proposal to extend contract terms to provide sufficient time for operators to recoup their investment and prepare for the new tender environment. Was the minister quoting from the complete task force report? If so, will the minister table the report at the earliest opportunity? Hon N.D. GRIFFITHS

I thank the member for some notice of this question. The minister referred to is the minister in the other place, and the answer is no.
