TONKIN HIGHWAY–HALE ROAD INTERSECTION
446. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the proposed upgrade of
the intersection at Hale Road and Tonkin Highway.
(1) Will the
minister outline the community consultation that will now be undertaken with
regard to the new plan that was released last week?
(2) What safety
improvement options are being investigated at various Welshpool Road
intersections as part of the project?

notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by the
Minister for Transport.
(1) Community feedback on the improved Hale Road
connections is currently being sought by Main Roads WA.
(2) As with all
major projects, Main Roads works with local councils to improve safety and
connectivity at local access points. It should be noted that the state
government has also allocated funding for the upgrade to the Tonkin Highway–Welshpool
Road and Leach Highway–Welshpool Road intersections.
