Notes: Statistics are provisional and subject to revision. Statistics are of offences reported to or becoming known to police within the stated time period that have not been recorded with an outcome of Entered in Error, Falsely Reported, Mistakenly Reported, No Criminal Offence, or Offence Substituted.  Counting Rules have been applied which exclude facilitation and duplication offences in specific circumstances.  These rules are applied to certain reporting categories (typically those known to have been prone to over-recording of offences historically) in order to provide a more accurate picture of crime volumes and trends.  Age has been determined based on the date of birth and the date of arrest. Instances where the date of birth is unknown have not been included in counts of persons under 18 years. ‘Burglary’ and ‘Stealing of Motor Vehicle’ offence categories are defined as per standard crime statistics reports.
