(2) Motherwell Information Systems Pty Ltd. (3) The scope of Contract 275/99 does not include the construction of the building but is limited to the fit-out of electrical systems to enable Main Roads to control traffic more effectively from a central location. The building has already been constructed under a separate contract as part of the Graham Farmer Freeway project. Construction of the building commenced in February 1999 and was completed in December 1999. (4) Contract 275/99 was recently awarded to Motherwell Information Systems Pty Ltd. The fit-out work is scheduled to be completed by February 2001. (5) The price tendered by Motherwell Information Systems Pty Ltd was $2 634 690. The final cost will not be known until the contract is completed. (6) The functions of the Traffic Operations Centre will include: Visual displays for live cameras and other measuring devices monitoring traffic flow along strategic sections of the metropolitan road network such as the Mitchell and Kwinana Freeways and the Causeway. Control and coordination of all traffic control signals generally in the Perth Metropolitan Area. A central point from which driver information is disseminated via variable message signs and the media. A central point from which early information on emergency situations on the road network is provided to Main Roads and other authorities such as Police.
