I refer to question on notice No. 2607 regarding the lifts at Perth rail station, and ask: (a) when does the warranty on these lifts expire; (b) which of the breakdowns for Lift 2-13 are covered by the warranty; and (c) what has been the cost of all the non-warranty work on Lift 2-13?

(a) The warranty for the lifts expired on the following dates:
Lift 1-13: December 2014
Lift 2-13: December 2014
Lift 3-13: December 2014
Lift 4-13: August 2014
However, it should be noted that the warranty period was extended to April 2015 until the causes for some performance issues were established.
(b) The breakdowns to lift 2-13 were covered by the warranty except on two occasions which were caused by water ingress in the lift shaft and water entering through a construction joint in the concrete shaft.
(c) The cost associated with the non-warranty work for lift 2-13 was $1 015.
