(NAMES OF REGISTERED POLITICAL PARTIES) BILL 2024
1393. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Electoral Affairs:
I refer to the
drafting of the Electoral Amendment (Names of Registered Political Parties)
Bill 2024.
(1) Was the
Electoral Commissioner consulted on the drafting or policy of the bill; and, if
so, on what dates?
(2) Were any
political parties or their representatives consulted on the drafting or policy
of the bill; and, if so, on what dates?

(1) Yes, the
Electoral Commissioner was consulted on an ongoing basis throughout the
drafting of the bill.
(2) No.
