In terms of my Ministerial Office: Please refer to Question on Notice 222 In terms of the Department of Local Government and Regional Development, please be advised as follows: (a)-(c) Please see attached document. In terms of the Department for Land Information: In 2004/05, the Department of Land Information made a grant of $132,000 (GST inclusive) to: (a) Western Australian Centre for Geodesy (Department of Spatial Sciences, Curtin University of Technology). (b) One-off grant from Departmental funds. (c) Applied research into the potential use in Western Australia of a network of continuously operating reference stations to provide geodetic control for surveying, mapping and other applications. The research will assist the Department to plan the development of the State's geodetic control network. In terms of the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission: Grants for 2003/2004 1. a) Shire of Laverton - $110,000 (inc GST) b) Goldfields Esperance Regional Development Scheme c) Great Beyond Explorer's Centre Grants for 2004/2005 1. a) Shire of Coolgardie - $1,100,000 (inc GST) b) Capital Works Grants c) Kambalda Community and Recreation Facilities Funding 2 a) Shire of Coolgaride - $550,000 (inc GST) b) Capital Works Grants c) Upgrading and Protecting Heritage Buildings on Coolgardie 3 a) Goldfields Arts Centre - $550,000 (Inc GST) b) Capital Works Grants c) Refurbishment and Maintenance of Goldfields Arts Centre In terms of the Great Southern Development Commission: (a) The only grant made by the Great Southern Development Commission for the financial years 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 that exceeded $100,000 in value was one for $107,000 to the Great Southern Regional Marketing Association (b) The grant was made under the Regional Development Scheme (c) The purpose of the grant was to establish a marketing network for the producers of wine and food products of the Great Southern region and to market these in a planned and co-ordinated fashion under a new and distinctive logo
