relation to the annual allocation of funds under the Heritage Grants Program Allocation, I ask: (a) are the grants determined by sittings of Heritage Council members: (i) if
not, which body determines the grants each year; (b) are
the grants determined at one particular sitting of the Heritage Council or
staggered across the meetings of the council throughout the year; (c) are
all members of the Heritage Council able to vote on which projects are
allocated grants; and (d) please
supply a copy of the minutes of the meetings in which the grants were allocated?

(a) No
(i) The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage assesses grant applications according to the Heritage Council’s grants policy and guidelines, and provides a list of recommended grants to the Minister for Heritage for approval under section 33(3) of the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990 .  A Heritage Council member attends the final grant assessment process to ensure that the Council’s policy and guidelines are appropriately applied.
