ROYALTIES FOR REGIONS —
EXPENDITURE
1151. Hon RICK MAZZA to the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the article on page 2 of
the Countryman of 16 November, titled ''Agency underspends'',
which reported that the new Western Australian Department of Primary Industries
and Regional Development underspent by $60 million in its first year as a superagency
because of lower spending on various royalties for regions projects.
(1) How will the $60 million worth
of savings be used by the department?
(2) Which royalties for regions
projects had their funding decreased?
(3) How were the funding cuts
determined?
