(1) Is the Minister aware that a number of houses in the Cheeditha Aboriginal community, on the outskirts of Roebourne, have been without power and water since Cyclone Christine hit the community on 31 December 2013? (2) Does the Minister think it's acceptable that families have been without power and water for over five months? (3) Will the Minister ensure that the Department of Housing provides the necessary support to the Cheeditha Aboriginal community to ensure that the houses are again liveable as a matter of priority?

Since January 2010, the Cheeditha Aboriginal Corporation has independently managed its members' housing and has responsibility for community infrastructure and ongoing repairs and maintenance.
