I thank the member
for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me
by the Minister for Defence Industries.
(1) The provision of housing for Australian
Defence Force personnel and visiting defence personnel from the US and the United
Kingdom in support of national security priorities, including the preparation
and operation of Submarine Rotational Force-West at HMAS Stirling from 2027, is the responsibility of the
Australian government via Defence Housing Australia. The Western Australian Government
has not directly contributed housing to the Australian Government, nor the
supply of land for this purpose.
(2)–(3) Not applicable.
