(1) The offences committed or allegedly committed by each of the four maximum security prisoners who were at Bunbury Regional Prison as of 26 June 2007 are as follows:

(2) During the financial year 2006/2007, there were 176 individual prisoners at Bunbury Regional Prison who were, at some stage during that period, assigned a maximum security rating.
(3) The maximum security prisoners are confined to a secure accommodation unit with three covered exercise yards. If they leave the unit for any reason, they are under direct prison officer escort.
(4) Bunbury Regional Prison has exceeded its design capacity on 321 days throughout the past year.
(5) The current design capacity of Bunbury Regional Prison is 188 beds, with a temporary modified capacity of 207 beds. The population at Bunbury Regional Prison ranged from 189 to 215 during the period of 321 days as referred to in question (4).
(6) A medium security unit designed for 68 prisoners has 20 cells where an additional bed has been added to the cell. If all of these cells are full, a mattress has been placed in a maximum security cell whereby two prisoners can then occupy that cell.
(7) As at 23 October 2007, Bunbury Regional Prison has an FTE requirement of 116. It presently employs 120 FTE in preparation for the increased prisoner population. However, 12 of these FTE are unavailable for operational duty.
(8) There are currently 2 vacancies at Bunbury Regional Prison.
