(1) It was the
Department of Transport, with input from the Disability Services Commission and
the National Disability Insurance Agency.
(2) TUSS
members who had been identified as participating in the state or commonwealth
National Disability Insurance Scheme trials can now receive transport subsidies
through the NDIS. To limit the duplication of transport funding, funds
previously allocated for TUSS have now been transferred from DoT to DSC and the
NDIA.
(3) There are
ongoing talks between the three agencies to ensure services can continue. DoT
is seeking to continue TUSS funding and services while participants explore the
NDIS supports and services available to them.
(4) Five hundred
and eight TUSS members.
