Definition:
management initiated redundancy or retirement (MIR) is a long-standing Government policy that involves a mutually negotiated agreement between an employer and employee to bring a contract of employment to an end.

Department of Planning; Armadale Redevelopment Authority; Midland Redevelopment Authority; East Perth Redevelopment Authority; Subiaco Redevelopment Authority; Department of Culture and the Arts; State Records Office, ScreenWest, Perth Theatre Trust; State Library of Western Australia; Art Gallery of Western Australia; West Australian Museum - based on the above mentioned definition:
