(2) The $25,000 sponsorship will be provided for the Western Australian Tourism Awards, managed by Tourism Council Western Australia. The Tourism Western Australia representative on the Tourism Accreditation Committee acts in an advisory capacity on matters relating to the accreditation program which is the quality assurance initiative managed by Tourism Council Western Australia. The objective of this process is to increase the professionalism and quality of the Western Australian tourism product in a highly competitive market. This group meets up to six times per annum with an average meeting duration of two hours. (3) Tourism Council Western Australia will receive in the order of $330,000, over the period 2006-07 to 2008-09, for the implementation of specific recommendations in the Report of the Taskforce to the Minister for Tourism: Review of Adventure Tourism Visitor Safety in Western Australia , relating to the National Tourism Accreditation Program. This in-principal agreement has been reached although the exact amount and financial agreement are yet to be finalised.
