minister representing the Minister for Lands:
I refer to the Cockburn coast redevelopment area and today's
launch of stage 1 developer lots at Shoreline, North Coogee.
(1) The minister mentioned that lots would be elevated. How
high will lots be elevated?
(2) What are the height limits of Shoreline?
(3) Please table the coastal vulnerability assessment for the
Shoreline at North Coogee.
(4) Is the minister satisfied that LandCorp has adequately
planned for sea level rise in Shoreline?
(5) What is
the minister's response to Mayor Logan Howlett's call today for
light rail services for the estimated 12 000 residents at Cockburn coast?

(1) Apartment
sites will be contoured to the slope of the land. Townhouse lots will have a
0.1 to 0.6-metre elevation over parkland.
(2) Building
heights for Shoreline is largely between three to five storeys. A small number
of development sites, mainly within the main street, will allow a building
height of six to eight storeys.
(3) I table the document. [See paper 2795.]
(4) Yes.
(5) A bus priority link is identified in the Department of
Transport's draft public transport plan.
