(1) How many mobile phones were reported lost or stolen for the financial years 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 and to date in the current financial year?
(2) What was the cost of replacing the lost or stolen mobile phones for the financial years 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 and to date in the current financial year?
(3) Was the loss or theft of any of these mobile phones reported to the police?
(4) If so, when were they reported?
(5) Of those reported, what has been the outcome?

Please refer to response provided to Parliamentary Question on Notice No. 150 Water & Rivers Commission Since July 2002 Information Infrastructure records for the Department of Environmental Protection and the Water and Rivers Commission have been amalgamated. 1. Financial year 2002-2003, One (1) phone was reported Lost/Stolen. Financial year 2003-2004, Two (2) phones were reported Stolen and One (1) phone was reported lost. Financial year 2004-now, Two (2) phones were reported Stolen and Four (4) reported lost. 2. Financial year 2002-2003, total cost of replacement was $199. Financial year 2003-2004, total cost of replacement was $423.42. Financial year 2004-now, total cost of replacement was $1581.00. 3. Yes, since this practice was initiated, three (3), stolen phones were reported to the police. Police reference numbers were issued. 1. Police Report Number: 01920316307448 on 10 December 2003. Police Report Number: 060304050011160 on 6 March 2004. Police Report Number: 201104-102585077 on 20 November 2004. 2. No phones were recovered. Water Corp (1) (a) 2002/2003 - 17 (b) 2003/2004 - 37 (c) 2004/2005 to date - 31 (2) (a) 2002/2003 - $ 7,650 (b) 2003/2004 - $15,000 (c) 2004/2005 to date - $12,000 (3) When the theft is the result of a house or vehicle break-in, it is reported to the police as part of the prime event. For other instances, for example left in a restaurant, an internal report form is used. This is not conveyed to the police, however, each loss is reported to the service provider to prevent unauthorised use. (4) Within the day in which the theft was noticed.
