I thank the member for the question. I have some very good news. Last year, around 111 million tonnes of ore passed through Port Hedland port. It was pipped only very slightly at the post by your own port at Dampier, Mr Speaker. However, we are anticipating that by 2010, some 200 million tonnes of product will go through the Port Hedland port. Of course, we have plans beyond that. I was very pleased that yesterday the government signed off on a $225 million expansion of the Port Hedland port. We will be creating a new public berth at Utah Point, which will be capable of taking around 18 million tonnes of exports and imports each year. It will enable us to process the new Cape class vessels. Following the broadening of the Panama Canal, new vessels are being created. It will free up capacity for a whole heap of junior iron ore exporters and a new bulk and general cargo container trade that is growing as part of the great expansion at Port Hedland. Very importantly for the member for Central Kimberley-Pilbara, he will very much appreciate that it will enable us to relocate products such as manganese and chromite away from the west end of town to the other side of the port, which will improve the health and amenity outcomes for that community. It is a great project, a $225 million expansion, and one that we expect to have completed by mid-2009.
