(1) Will the Minister give consideration to resuming relevant coastal areas from pastoral leases in the Pilbara that have been the long-term traditional recreational, swimming and fishing areas of Pilbara people, and areas to which people have recently been denied access as a result of actions taken by pastoral lease holders in reference to locking the access routes?
(2) If not, why not?

I have asked the Department for Regional Development and Lands to work with all stakeholders to try and negotiate an access arrangement to suit all stakeholders. I will consider the options once the outcomes of these negotiations have been completed.
