WA POLICE —
PRIVATISATION OF SERVICES
396. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to the
Minister for Police:
I refer to reports that WA Police is investigating the
privatisation of elements of its services to private operator Serco.
(1) Who initiated contact concerning the privatisation of
services for WA Police?
(2) What experience has Serco had in law enforcement support
services?

AnswerView source ↗

(1)–(2)
Here we go again, on a mission against Serco and against privatisation of
anything—any aspect of government services—notwithstanding the
fact that the people over there were the ones who started the privatisation
agenda of our hospitals. But, that said, we are currently not in any
discussions with Serco with respect to privatisation of any aspects of police
services or operations.
