(a-b) For the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), please refer to Attachment 1.
For the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) CAMHS, please refer to Attachment 2.
(c) (i-iii) CAMHS and WACHS CAMHS do not record wait times for children referred to see a child and adolescent psychiatrist. All referrals are continually monitored and prioritised according to clinical presentation and acuity, with children being seen by a psychiatrist when clinically indicated. Not all patients are directly assessed by the team psychiatrist; however all patients are discussed at multidisciplinary team meetings, which are led by the team psychiatrist.
As at 31 July 2016, across Community CAMHS teams the mean wait time from receipt of referral to Choice meeting is 24 days. The mean wait time from referral to Partnership meeting (treatment) is 34 days.
(d) CAMHS and WACHS CAMHS have not observed any affect from the closure of treatment services by Dr Voon on the accessibility of child psychiatric services.
