(2) There were 564 volunteers recorded as having registered an interest in participating in the count, and 264 volunteers are recorded as having participated on the day. (3) There were 187 sites in the Department of Environment and Conservation’s Swan region, which extends from just north of Lancelin, south to Yalgorup and inland to the western edge of the Wheatbelt, and a further 19 sites outside this area. (4)–(5) Preliminary results have been provided to the minister, together with advice that the results required analysis, interpretation and review prior to release of a report.
